Words in English for you...

Once again in English. Well, we’re still really busy. There’s always something to do. But perhaps the most important thing has been taken care of…

We handed in the spouse visa application, which is the next stage for Dodi’s permanent stay here in Australia. He needs to go through this slow process. It takes two years for this application to be processed, so he’ll get another temporary visa in the meantime. We were intent on handing in a professional collection of evidence in regards to our lives, including detailed information about our relationship according to the strict criteria. So it’s all about waiting now…

Dodi has been asked to work in the hotel department of his workplace. This means he’ll get even more hours and, as a result, they will soon enroll him in another course relating to management. He needs to go through these steps to be part of the management team at his workplace. I’m really proud of him. He’s had great success with his managers. They love him and see what an excellent, dedicated job he does every day…
He’s heading in the best direction and he’s so pleased with his progress.

I’m at home usually. This is where I take care of the administrative work for the family business. I am so glad that I can work from home, as it is much easier to be a housewife as well. I love preparing meals daily and taking care of the household. I have more time to plan and make healthy meals this way.

In about a month’s time we’ll be going up to Sydney for five nights and six days. We’ve started looking for the best motel to stay at, which is affordable, close to the heart of the city and has facilities like parking. We found a hotel brochure in the back bedroom where Kriszti and Jani (our friends from overseas) stayed. That has been a great help for us, because the hotel we most likely will stay at is from that (thank you K & J!!!).
We’ll go along the coast as much as possible on the way there. We’d like to stop a few times, so it’ll probably take us around 12-13 hours to get there. There’s a place called Eden too, which is just a little coastal town. This trip is a birthday present to each other. That’s why we’re planning to go between the dates of our birthdays. So we can’t wait to celebrate!

The weather has really cooled down lately. So we haven’t done many outdoor activities. But the weather shouldn’t really be an excuse not to go cycling, walking, hiking and things like that… We have so many plans, but not enough time.

We play a lot of table tennis though. Last time we played 9 sets! It’s so much fun.

Dodi discovered a store where they sell a wide variety of American-only products, mainly foods. He’s thrilled about this discovery. He’s been telling me all about his favourite brands, because he went through the list of items on their website. So this will be the next outing for us, I’m sure… We’ll stock up on Dr. Pepper drinks and other things. Here’s their website if you are interested in having a look.

That’s all for now! Take care everyone…
