Special bayside outing - English version

This is a funny pic! The bird's thinking:
"I'll show them how it's done!" or "I'm a daredevil"...

We have not made mention in more detail of that outing of ours on 14th January. So, I’ll write a few lines about it.

The day began with ordering the previously already chosen wedding bands and then we headed down towards the beach. It was a beautiful summer’s day. There wasn’t a single cloud in the sky. We planned on going down on one of the bay’s coastlines, which is quite a long drive and a very nice coastal strip.

We ate a sausage roll each where we stopped first. This is Aussie “grub”. It has pastry on the outside and some kind of minced meat on the inside. It is usually eaten with tomato sauce. We drank a blue slurpee too, but it was terribly sweet, it wasn’t that good.

Then we continued on to an other popular place, which is called Frankston. We walked more there. There is a modern bridge too, from which you can look on to the sailboats, motorboats and the jetski traffic from a higher point. We had some ice cream there, sat on a bench to gaze around, but it was windy, so we didn’t stay long. We went on.

The next strip had stores, cafes and as it should be done we listened to the Ice, Ice Baby song at full blast. There was real summer heat and a real summer mood by this time/at this stage and this action felt really good.

Then we spotted a really beautiful sandy section of the beach, where we went down to the hot sand for some sunbathing and swimming. The sea was a clear light turquoise by the beach and it gradually deepened in tone as the water did also. This was our first occasion to be down on the beach in a bathing mood.

From here we went all the way along a winding beach road to a popular little town, which is called Sorrento. We bought fish & chips and six oysters each with lemon here and ate it at a picnic table. At this point one side of the peninsula is part of the bay and the other side is ocean. We had a look at the side of the ocean too, we spent a bit of time at the lookout, then we slowly headed home. It was a nice little outing.

Oh, and the other news is that there is a new car, of which I am also uploading pictures. It’s superb. We got it on 30th December. It’s a Mazda 6, but I reckon you can see. We are really satisfied with it. It has everything and my dice as well since…as I had in the other one. So, once again a red car. :-)

Kisses to everyone!!!
Bye for now, from J & D
