I can't believe how long it's been since we last wrote!
To be honest, it's hard to start a blog entry after these gaps. Thinking about what to write and so on.
The weather has been awful with lots of rain and cool days. So we didn't do much last weekend. Just spent the time at home.
We were going to go to the "Docklands", which is a new part of Melbourne. It's very modern with art on the streets, outdoor cinema entertainment, plenty of cafes and restaurants by the water, many retail shops to browse in or do some window-shopping. So this is one of our next relaxing programs after a hard and busy week.
When the weather improves we plan to go on city walks. There are so many streets within the city centre that we never really see on foot. Victoria, the state we live in, is called 'the garden state' because of its many beautiful parks. We should spend more time discovering and revisiting them.
There are two especially which are favourites. One is the botanical gardens, the other one is Fitzroy Gardens.
Here are some pictures from both these parks. There are many European trees. People like to come out here for a picnic, they sometimes get married here or just takes long walks - like we will.
The little model houses depict the small British village of Kent. A 77 year old pensioner made it to show his gratitude to Melbournians who sent food to England at the time of the Second World War.
